Franco’s fascist masterpiece and the ATM

Long haul today, with a detour to the Valley of the Fallen. Our cultural visit took us over a mountain to the underground church which is built into the slopes of the mountain with the church it’s self is in the hillside. 18 year of building with Franco’s usual abuse of power and money, it is a memorial to the fallen of the Spanish Civil War in the 1930s. See I do know some history!

After that we went to get some lunch in the village of San Lorenzo de El Escorial, a place I will never forget! The ATM kept my card ~#%*er! So the holiday is on John.

We are camped at Santa Elena, had to be done since we missed seeing EE&A who have now gone back to UK.
