This is the post excerpt.

The Bury’s are planning their travels again, but no cruise ship this time! We are going on the road for 28 days in our newly converted mini bus that John has turned into a motor home. The hope is that we will travel from the north east of Scotland to New Haven in the south of England and get the ferry across to France. This blog will follow our travels and see where we end up.

3 nights away in the MoHo to this MMC site. We used our own onboard facilities do canโ€™t comment on their shower/toilet blocks. We bought an eco shower ๐Ÿšฟ head which works great and would recommend. Pressure great and doesnโ€™t use excessive amount of water.

Stonehaven has a few takeaways including a chip shop very near the site. We didnโ€™t use it due to John being Celiac and not worth the risk of contamination. However lots from the site used it and they used social distancing well with a member of staff directing people.

A poor duck ๐Ÿฆ† got trapped in the solar panels on the toilet block but the RSPB and fire brigade came to its rescued.

We went for a lovely walk down to the harbour and into the town, itโ€™s sad to see so many shops still closed.

Ayr on Saturday for a few days and a visit to eldest son and youngest granddaughter. It will be nice to get and give a hug ๐Ÿค— we know they are well, but seeing is better.

Lockdown over (at least for now)

Decided to try out a #Duvalay mattress topper for a night before heading off next Saturday for a few days.

So we pack a few things and with the help of Campercontact app we headed to Cullen on the north east coast of Scotland ๐Ÿด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ณ๓ ฃ๓ ด๓ ฟ.

Duvalay was a success nice, soft and a comfortable night was had.

Sneaky few days away

Itโ€™s been a cold ๐Ÿฅถ long winter and we are stir crazy ๐Ÿ˜œ. So enough already! MoHo packed and off we went for 3 days in Dunbar just below Edinburgh.

Campsite is Thurston Manor Innerwick, Dunbar, Lothian, Scotland, EH42 1SA. We picked a fully serviced pitch on hard standing (they are never flat).

Great view of the sea ๐ŸŒŠ in the distance. The site has an indoor ๐ŸŠโ€โ™€๏ธ which was a fine size for this time of the year but expect it would be mobbed when schools are on holiday. There are a couple of bars, an arcade and a restaurant. Sorry we didnโ€™t try the meals so canโ€™t review. The toilet and shower ๐Ÿšฟ block are tired and cold, but we had the better pitch so had access to a far warmer and rather good shower ๐Ÿงผ block. One shower had a double shower!!

Would we go back? Yes think we might (when schools in).

Impromptu night away

Sun โ˜€๏ธ here in North east Scotland ๐Ÿด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ณ๓ ฃ๓ ด๓ ฟ so a night away in our MoHo’s with our friends.

Only an hour away to Culloden near Inverness to a nice quiet sight. We had a few hours sitting out in the sun befor having a nice meal in the Culloden Inn. A few gins to finish off a lovely night away.

Sun ๐ŸŒž still here this morning although it’s not exactly shorts and tee shirt weather it’s still nice.

And home

3800 miles through Scotland, England, Holland, Germany, Lichtenstein, Bavaria (they say they are not Germany lol), Austria, Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, Luxembourg and Belgium.

Round mountains, through the alps in tunnels and over them. Castles, forts, Mozart, Ariel cars and lakes. Snorkelling in the Adriatic Sea, eating different food, drinking gin and locals drinks.

Laughing, looking in awe, sitting in the sun and listening to thunder. Being woken by a bold duck knocking on the door for his breakfast and visits from swans. Boats so close they would wave to us. Rubbish roads and roadworks.

A few more ticks on the bucket list and meeting new people. New MoHo had lots of beautiful views.

Chitty chitty fairytale castle and Belgium chocolate.

And we loved every minute but for the record Brugge was our favourite.

Thanks for joining us we enjoyed your comments. Next years plans have already begun.

Arrived late last night as the ferry was delayed due to winds. The lovely couple at Brookcroft campsite a few miles from the port were there with torches ๐Ÿ”ฆ to get us settled into the site and open the gate for us. That’s service! And with EHU, toilet and shower ยฃ15 a night.

After a good nights sleep we are now in Bedfordshire where we used to live to visit our friend Charlotte.

The site at the Cross Keys pub Pulloxhill is bogged down but they have let us stay tucked away at the back of the pub with hook up.

Possibly Glasgow tomorrow to visit Our son and granddaughter. Putting off going home until the last minute.

4 days until back at work

Last night!

Holland ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฑ again and in a site minutes from the port. Nice site and we are the only ones here.

A gaggle of ducks ๐Ÿฆ† have kept us company today, I love ducks ๐Ÿฆ† but had to draw the line on the one who wanted to come into the Moho.

Rain โ˜”๏ธ started as it got dark and the temperature has definitely dropped ๐Ÿ˜ข

Ferry โ›ด at 14.15 tomorrow.

Last night in The continent.

Prime and rain

For the first time in a month we have had rain โ˜”๏ธ during the day. So it was feet up and binging on Carnival Row on Prime Eating Belgium chocolate. Yes both Prime and Netflix work in Europe.

So not a lot to report even Spike the vampire ๐Ÿง›โ€โ™€๏ธ gnome is watching the iPad.

Moving onto Holland ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฑ tomorrow the be near the port for our exit on Thursday. It’s been an exciting and quick month.

2 days to go. Zero miles today.
